Tax Inclusive/Tax Exclusive setup

Tax settings, whether an item will add tax on top or be included in the price of an item, is set at the Category settings under Menus on Breadcrumb HQ. Tax inclusive means that the price of an item includes sales tax; tax exclusive means that tax is added to the price of an item.

It is important to note that tax will only remain inclusive when all items on a check are inclusive tax. For example, if a beverage is set to include tax, while food to exclude then Breadcrumb will add sales tax to the entire check.

Exclusive Taxes: Taxes added on top of the price of an item.

Example: Chicken salad; price: $10.00; Tax Rate on item: 10%. Bill Total= $11.00

Inclusive Taxes: Taxes included within the price of an item.

Example: Chicken salad; price: $10.00; Tax Rate on item: 10%. Bill Total= $10.00
