Second Chargeback or Pre-Arbitration

If your first chargeback was reversed, and you receive a second notice regarding the same chargeback, this means that the dispute has entered the second chargeback phase, known as pre-arbitration.

Once it enters this phase, it means the credit card issuer or cardholder does not agree with the original decision and has filed for arbitration.

In arbitration, the card network (Visa, MasterCard or Discover) will review all documentation and make the final decision on which party is responsible for the chargeback. Please be advised that issuer’s decision is final and must be accepted by all parties.
